Peter Albrecht

Peter composes music for film the way good stories are told – without a fixed formula, but with a clear sense of purpose. For him, music is more than accompaniment: it shapes moods, amplifies emotions, and can become a character of its own – rich in meaning, atmosphere, and depth. His stylistic openness sets him apart; his scores adapt to serve the story rather than follow a fixed genre. Since graduating from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, he has worked across feature films, documentaries, television series, and commercials for brands like VITRA, LAMY, and Mercedes, as well as international co-productions such as MAJINI.

His musical journey led from piano through cover bands, electronic music, and musicology studies at Goethe University Frankfurt, before finding its form at the Filmakademie – where he scored over 40 projects and recorded with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. In 2025, Albrecht received the Deutscher Filmmusikpreis in the Young Talent category. His work has also been recognised with a Clio Music Award, a German Film Award nomination for VENA, and awards at the First Steps Award, Young Director Award, and BAFTA Student Awards.
